After moving abroad, where sprats can be found only in Russian stores or in small markets selling products from different countries of the world, I began to buy my favorite product only occasionally. Taking into account the fact that the cost of smoked fish is not low, but we want to stretch the pleasure, many of our compatriots (including myself) prepare pates with the addition of the desired seafood. This method of making sprat pâté allows you to get a completely new dish, while preserving the taste and aroma of the cherished canned food.
Sprat pate with melted cheese and eggs
Eggs make the spread on the bread more satisfying, and the melted cheese gives it a special delicate texture.
Ingredients:
- 100 g sprat;
- 100 g processed cheese;
- 2 boiled eggs;
- 30 g red onions;
- 1 tbsp. l. mayonnaise;
- 4-5 sprigs of fresh dill;
- lemon juice to taste;
- salt and black pepper to taste.

Put the food you need on the table
- Chop a piece of red onion with a blender.

Grate the processed cheese on a fine grater or cut into small pieces.

Ingredients:
- 200 g sprat;
- 200 g of champignons;
- 1 carrot;
- 1 head of onion;
- 100 g butter;
- 50 ml of sunflower oil;
- 1 tsp salt;
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper;
- 1 bunch of fresh dill
Preparation:

Prepare food

Heat half of the sunflower oil in a skillet. Fry the carrots and finely chopped onions on a coarse grater until soft. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the vegetables to a plate.

Pour the remaining vegetable oil into the pan, put the mushrooms cut into thin plates and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes over low heat. Then increase the heat to medium and fry the mushrooms for another 3-4 minutes.
