- Dexamethasone has powerful anti-inflammatory effects
- Polcortolone actively affects carbohydrate and protein metabolism
When comparing, the high price of Execan draws attention to itself in comparison with other corticosteroids that have similar indications and contraindications, since they are all synthetic analogs of one substance - the adrenal hormone cortisol, and differ from each other in the duration of action, as well as in the ability to change the parameters of carbohydrate and mineral exchange. Dexamethasone is highly effective in the treatment of allergic skin diseases.
Reviews of the drug owners of cats and veterinarians
Execan is a hormonal anti-inflammatory drug based on dexamethasone, a synthetic corticosteroid. The product was created for veterinary use, it contains vitamins that improve the condition of the skin, as well as the irreplaceable amino acid methionine, designed to protect the liver from the increase in blood lipids caused by dexamethasone. The dosage form is original and, in theory, should make it easier to feed the drug to a pet, but dogs rather than cats will appreciate it.
