Composition and release form of the drug Execan

Ekzekan is a remedy for the treatment of skin diseases of non-infectious origin; it is produced by NVC Agrovetzashchita LLC (Russia)

Produced in the form of sugar briquettes for feeding to animals. Briquettes are packed in 8 pieces in plastic blisters, 2 blisters are placed in cardboard boxes, providing them with an annotation on the use of the product.

Execan is produced in the form of sugar briquettes

Each briquette of Execan contains:

• active ingredients:

  • dexamethasone - 1 mg;
  • nicotinamide (vitamin PP) - 10 mg;
  • pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) - 50 mg;
  • methionine - 300 mg;

• Excipients:

  • sucrose - up to 8 g.

  • participate in the restoration of metabolism;
  • regulate the exchange of amino acids - structural components for protein molecules;
  • help to restore the skin with seborrheic dermatitis (pyridoxine) and pellagra (nicotinamide);
  • easily penetrate into the blood from the lumen of the digestive system;
  • excreted by the kidneys in a metabolized form;

• methionine is an amino acid belonging to the group of essential:

  • prevents the development of fatty hepatosis, which is preceded by an insufficient content of choline, which takes part in the synthesis of phospholipids;
  • it is involved in the neutralization of toxins formed as a result of metabolic processes.

Indications for use

Ekzekan is used to treat acute and chronic allergic dermatitis and eczema. Before using it, it is important to make sure that the disease is not infectious.

Flea dermatitis is one of the indications for the appointment of Execan

The cause of allergic dermatitis in cats is most often atopic dermatitis and allergy to flea bites, which are manifested by the development of:

• miliary dermatitis - when significant areas are formed on the cat's body, covered with small bubbles, which, opening and drying, form crusts;

• baldness without visible signs of inflammation;

How to use Execan correctly

Execan can be given:

• offering the cat to eat voluntarily from the owner's hand;

• chopping briquettes and mixing with feed;

Dosage regimen of Execan in cats:

• the first 4 days of treatment in cats weighing over 1 kg - 0.5 briquette;
• the next 8 days - 0.25 briquettes.

When using Execan, you should not skip the next dose of the drug, as this will result in a loss of therapeutic efficacy. If a pass occurs, then you should take Execan as early as possible, without changing the dose and regimen.

Features of use in kittens and pregnant cats

Use in pregnant cats is prohibited. If necessary, the treatment of a lactating cat kittens are fed artificially. In kittens, Execan is used when a body weight of 1 kg is reached.

Contraindications and side effects
