10 unusual ways to use cola, after which you stop drinking it

Coca-Cola is a popular carbonated drink, although its benefits are highly questionable. You can not only drink it, but also use it as a household chemical. Having tested them in practice, you are unlikely to want to continue drinking cola.

Remove ice from glass

Every motorist knows how hard it is to clean an icy windshield. But if you have a small can of soda on hand, it will be much easier to deal with ice.

The windshield is simply poured with cola and waited for a few minutes. The sizzling beverage will quickly dissolve the ice, but the glass will still need to be washed to keep it from being sticky.

Feed the flowers

Potted flowers are watered with diluted cola. This drink changes the acidity of the soil, therefore it is used as a fertilizer for plants that prefer just such soils.

In addition, the drink improves the quality of the compost. To make it looser and more nutritious, just pour one can of soda over it.

Descale

One of the most famous uses for cola is to dissolve limescale. Usually the drink is poured into a kettle and turned on. The boiling liquid quickly dissolves the limescale build up inside.

In a similar way, ordinary pots are cleaned from the remnants of burnt food. Soda is poured into a container and boiled for 1 hour over low heat. The scale will dissolve on its own, and heavy dirt will soften and can be easily removed with a sponge.

Remove rust

The carbonated drink not only removes scale, but also dissolves rust. To clean an old bolt or other metal object from it, pour it abundantly with cola and wait a few minutes. Soda ingredients react with rust and erode it.

Remove stains

Coca-Cola eats away even the most difficult dirt. Given this feature, it is used as a cheap stain remover.

Dirty and stained clothes are soaked in a little water and covered with soda. When it is absorbed, the clothes are machine washed as usual. The clothes will be absolutely clean, even if they used to have old stains of grease or blood on them.

The only exception is the use of cola for white clothing. After soaking in soda, it will take on an ugly brown tint.

Clean the stove

If the stove is dirty, and there is no time for thorough cleaning, the surface is simply poured with cola. After a few minutes of waiting, the frozen fat can be easily removed with a regular sponge. But it should be borne in mind that this method is only suitable for fresh or minor dirt.

Wash off tint shampoo

Any tint shampoo is washed off over time with plain water. But, if there is a need to quickly restore the natural hair color, you should use Coca-Cola.

To avoid damaging your hair, use diet soda. They moisten clean, damp hair with it, wait 10-15 minutes, and then simply rinse off with water. Complete removal of the tinted shampoo is not guaranteed, but it will become less noticeable.

Remove traces of glue

The main property of the glue is high adhesion, due to which it adheres firmly to any surface. Since cola will dissolve rust, ice, and scale, it will do a good job of removing glue too.

It is enough to pour soda water over the surface and after a few minutes the glue is easily removed by hand or with a spatula.

Get rid of the gum

If chewing gum is accidentally tangled in your hair, do not immediately run to the hairdresser and cut off a strand. It is enough to take a can of cola, water your hair abundantly and wait 5 minutes. After that, the gum can be easily removed without harm to the curls.

Remove mold from clothing

In humid homes, clothes stored in closets are often moldy. Stubborn fungus may not always be removed with a regular wash, but Coca-Cola can help solve the problem.

Before washing, clothes are soaked in soda, and then washed in the usual way. This application, like removing old stains, is only suitable for dark clothing.
