I cleaned the grate from the gas stove without much difficulty - I share the way

I want to share my experience of how I was able to remove a large layer of fat from the grate on a gas stove. I try to keep it clean. The fact is that while I lived in the country, I rented out my apartment. When the tenants moved out from there, they left the gas stove in a rather neglected state.

There are three types of gratings: steel, cast iron and enamel gratings. My method works for all of these types.

There are many ways to cleanse. I chose the simplest one - using ammonia. It helps well not only in gardening work. It can be used in cleaning gas ovens and grates, as I have seen from my own experience. I advise you to try it too.

For work you will need:

  • 10% ammonia solution;
  • 2-3 tablespoons of any detergent;
  • soft small cloth;
  • 2 tight bags.

If you are worried about a pungent, unpleasant odor, keep in mind that it evaporates pretty quickly. I advise you to take the bags, in which the grates will be folded, to the balcony or yard, while the ammonia and detergent fight the layers of grease.

Start by dabbing some detergent onto a damp cloth. After that, distribute it over all the rods. It in itself is good at breaking down fat, and in this case ammonia will help it.

Next, take a tight bag and put a wire rack in it. Take a bottle of solution and pour it into a bag. Then close very carefully to keep the smell to a minimum. Now it remains to take it out to the balcony or yard, leaving it for 8-12 hours.

After this time, open the package. After all these procedures, in order to clean the dirt, a lot of work is not required. All fat flakes off by itself if you run a soft cloth over it.

I advise you to use this economical and easy way. I also want to give small tips on how to properly care for the gas hob to avoid heavy contamination.

To keep the grates clean, it will be sufficient to regularly wipe them with a damp cloth. If you accidentally spill something on them, then before the stains harden, you can easily remove them with any detergent.

When caring for gratings, consider the material of their manufacture. Steel bars can be wiped even with a hard iron sponge without fear of damage. But cast iron products require more delicate handling. Better to wipe them with a foam sponge.
