The coloring pigment, which is part of the onion husk, gives the surface of the fish a golden color

Experts have been saying for a long time that smoked fish, in particular mackerel, is not very useful for our digestion. The reason lies in the way it is prepared: manufacturers, in pursuit of profit, often use liquid smoke - a chemical composition that significantly speeds up the process, which has little to do with smoking. As a result, we get a poor quality product.

Traditional smoking can take a lot of time, which we so often lack. And this is where onion peels come to the rescue. Its distinguishing feature is the coloring pigments that give the fish a golden color. In addition, the taste of the finished dish also changes.
