A little about spices. Once in a restaurant I had a chance to taste a Greek stew with prunes and cinnamon, and the presence of the spice was felt very brightly. It was unusual but delicious. However, an attempt to reproduce the same food at home ended in a fiasco - the homemade peculiar rich aroma and unusual taste of meat did not like it. So, if you want to experience Greek cuisine, don't repeat my mistakes - experiment with small portions first.
