Why you shouldn't throw your hair in the trash and what awaits the violators of the ban

The Slavs endowed the hair with a magical meaning. They believed that hair contains the life force of a person, which is why our ancestors tried to cut their hair as rarely as possible, and never threw away the cut hair. Today, there is also a sign that hair should not be thrown away. What awaits a person who disobeys this prohibition?

Signs and superstitions

It is believed that cut hair should not be thrown away, since with it a person gets rid of his vital energy. Also, the hair contains information about the person, which can be used by ill-wishers. With the help of hair, black magicians are able to damage their master.

In ancient times, men and women rarely cut their hair, this way of life existed thanks to the belief in the ability of hair to accumulate the strength of its owner, being part of its single biofield, therefore girls always had long braids, and men never shaved their beards

Another belief assures that a hair caught on the street can be carried away by a bird. If she makes a nest from the hair, then the person will suffer from constant headaches, as well as problems with the condition of the hair. In addition, crowds of people will pass through the hair lying on the street, which can also cause severe migraines in their owner.

There is a superstition according to which it is also impossible to throw hair into an open water source. After all, sorcerers are able to carry out a black ritual even by a hair's breadth floating on the river.

How to get rid of cut hair

Our ancestors, believing in all the signs, tried to get rid of hair with the help of fire. It was believed that by burning hair, you return the life force that is contained in it back into your body. They tried to carry out the burning ceremony away from prying eyes, for example, in a home stove or on a fire in the forest. Today, getting rid of hair in this way is not always convenient, but there are other ways to get rid of hair correctly:

  1. Hair can be burnt at home, in an ashtray or in a fireplace.

Especially superstitious people collect hairs in a bag and burn them on the 30th lunar day.

  2. Trimmed curls can be wrapped in paper and thrown into an urn. The paper will hide the hair from prying eyes, so black magicians will not see them and will not be able to negatively affect a person.
  3. Another way to properly dispose of your hair is to throw it into closed flowing water, away from prying eyes. A toilet is perfect for these purposes. However, you should not do this too often, because from the toilet, the hair will go down the drain, which is not the cleanest place. Constantly washing your hair down the drain, you mix it (and with it your energy) with dirt, thereby depriving yourself of happiness and success.
  4. You can also bury the curls in the ground. However, this must be done correctly: choose a quiet, deserted place (a forest is perfect), and then dig a deep hole so that neither animals nor birds can find the buried hair.

But what not to do is to throw your hair down the sink. This action can clog the drain.

In the modern world, there is no rational explanation why hair should not be thrown in the trash. There is no scientific evidence that human hair is associated with life energy. But it was not in vain that our ancestors firmly believed in the magical meaning of hair. Therefore, in order not to inadvertently deprive yourself of health and good luck, it is worth getting rid of hair in one of the indicated ways, especially since it is not at all difficult to do this.
