I am always trying to find ways that can ease the daily chores at the summer cottage. I got rid of several problems with the help of regular baby powder.

Getting rid of ants

The problem with unwanted guests on the site is familiar to many. They quickly find their way to the house, from where it is extremely difficult to drive them out. I replace all chemicals for insect control with baby powder. It's much cheaper, but no less effective.

Powder should be sprinkled on all places where ants have been seen. Insects don't like powder. They leave pretty quickly.

This method works not only against ants, but also against aphids and Japanese beetles. If you do not get rid of these pests, then there is a risk of losing your crop.

To scare away mice and hares

Rodents are a real natural disaster, as they cause significant damage to the crop. I could not believe that the powder would help ward off mice and hares from my summer cottage.

To do this, it is necessary to carefully powder the ground in the garden and the leaves of the plants themselves. There will be no harm from this, but the rodents will forget their way to the garden - they in every possible way avoid contact with the powder.

For pre-sowing treatment of tubers and bulbs

It is necessary to treat the roots and bulbs of plants with baby powder before planting them in the soil. This will not take much time, but it will significantly reduce the risk of crop loss.

Talc perfectly absorbs excess moisture, due to which roots begin to rot and mold appears. All this inevitably leads to the multiplication of bacteria and the death of seedlings.

For processing the shovel handle

Using the powder, I now do not suffer from calluses and dropsies on my hands, which appear due to the sliding of a shovel and other garden tools.

Before working on the site, I always treat the tool handles with talcum powder, and for greater reliability I pour the powder onto my hands.

To get rid of squeaky floors

If you, like me, have a wooden floor in the country, then baby powder will definitely come in handy. It will help to cope with the unpleasant squeak when walking.

It is necessary to scatter talcum powder on the floor or stairs, and then sweep it into all visible cracks. This will make the squeak of wood surfaces less noticeable.

For work with gloves

I use rubber gloves not only in the country, but also at home. I always put some talcum powder inside. If moisture gets in, the powder will quickly absorb it.

Thanks to the powder, the gloves are easily removed and do not stick together. It also helps to avoid irritation on the skin when working.

Getting rid of the smell of sweat

Work at the summer cottage is not easy, sometimes all clothes and shoes are soaked in sweat. To eliminate the unpleasant odor, before working in the garden, I apply the powder to the body, especially in the folds, and also put it in my boots.

For me, baby powder has become a real salvation. This versatile remedy is worth trying for everyone to be sure it works.
