This dish is loved by both novice hostesses and experienced chefs, because it is easy to prepare it, and the products are common and available to everyone. And it will take only half an hour to bake the cake.
Step-by-step recipe for jellied pie with onions and eggs
In one of my articles, I talked about a neighbor grandmother from my childhood, who often treated us to various delicious homemade dishes. A frequent dish on her table was pastry pies with onion and egg filling. Sometimes, either due to lack of time, or for another reason, the woman simplified the task and cooked a simple jellied pie with the same filling. The recipe for this pastry is still kept in one of the old notebooks in our kitchen.
Ingredients:
- 6 eggs;
- 1-2 bunches of green onions;
- 300 g sour cream;
- 300 g flour;
- 150 g butter;
- 1.5 tsp. baking powder;
- 1.5 tsp. granulated sugar;
- 1.5 tsp. salt.

Prepare your ingredients.
For a jellied pie with onions and eggs, you need a minimum of available products

Boil 4 eggs, cool and finely chop in any shape.
Pie eggs can be cut into small pieces of any shape

Chop the green onion with a knife, salt to taste. The amount of the product can be decreased or increased.
The amount of onion is adjusted according to taste preferences

Mix boiled eggs and onions, add spices to taste.
At this stage, the filling can be supplemented with your favorite spices and seasonings.

Put sour cream in another container, add salt and sugar, stir.
First of all, sour cream is mixed with granulated sugar and a small amount of salt.

Melt the butter and whisk the remaining eggs in a small bowl while it cools.
Let it cool slightly before adding the melted butter to the dough.

Gradually add melted butter and beaten eggs to the sour cream.
Mix liquid dough ingredients thoroughly until smooth

Sift flour with baking powder, add portions to the sour cream mixture.
To make the dough more fluffy, it is recommended to sift the flour

Stir the resulting mushy mass well.
The consistency of the jellied pie dough should resemble porridge.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

Grease a baking dish.
To easily remove the cake from the baking dish after baking, brush it with butter

Pour 2/3 of the dough into a mold.
For the base of the cake, pour more than half of the batter into the pan

The filling should be evenly distributed over the dough.

Pour the second part of the dough, spreading it out so that it covers the filling in an even layer. Smooth out the dough with a tablespoon.
You can use a spoon or a silicone spatula to cover the filling with an even layer.
