Metal models are as strong and durable as possible, while plastic ones look modern and have good thermal insulation. Simple wooden doors look aesthetically pleasing and are characterized by a variety of options. These materials are the main materials from which tambour systems are made. When choosing, take into account the properties of the material, as well as the following features:

• the size of the canvas without the box should be less than the parameters of the opening in height by about 7 cm, and in width - by 4–5 cm;
• the degree of sound and thermal insulation of the structure must correspond to the required level of protection of the room;

• the thickness of a wooden door should be at least 50 mm, and models made of metal and plastic can be thin, but insulated.
