Hardware setup methods

According to the instructions for the set-top box from Rostelecom, there are two ways to configure the remote control for the remote control:

• automatic enumeration of all codes that the device "remembers";
• manual entry of the required set of numbers.

Automatic selection of keys

If you do not want to select the key for the TV yourself or did not find suitable code options for the TV model, use the search function in the built-in database:

1. Turn on your TV device.

2. Simultaneously press two buttons on the remote control - the big OK and TV button, located in the top row to the left of the power button. Release them after a couple of seconds - during this time the light under the TV key should flash twice. This will mean that the remote has entered the programming (firmware) mode.

3. Using the bottom number pad on the remote, enter the three-digit key 991.
4. Press the CH + key located on the right under the circle, which is designed to switch TV channels. Each time it is pressed, the remote will select a code from the code list already built into it.
5. When the TV turns itself off (this will mean that the remote has picked up the correct code), click on OK to save the changes. Double blinking of the familiar light next to the TV button will make it clear that the code has been successfully saved. After that, you can use the remote control, set-top box and TV.

You can also bind the console from the set-top box to the TV device by independently entering a certain code, consisting of four digits. When manually entering the key, you must take into account the TV model and manufacturer, as the keys for them will be different. Let's describe the self-configuration procedure:

1. Enter the remote control again into the "state" in which you can change its program settings, that is, using the TV and OK keys, as in the previous instruction.
2. Select the appropriate key for your TV manufacturer using the table below. Type it in the box that appears.

3. If the key is correct, the light under the TV key will blink twice. If it just lit up and did not turn off for a long time, then the entered code did not work - repeat the first two steps.

4. After double blinking, check the remote control for operation by adding sound. If the volume level has become higher, it means that the correct key was entered, you can safely control the set-top box and TV device with it. If the volume still does not increase, try a different combination from the table below that is appropriate for your TV manufacturer.

Factory reset

If you need to restore the initial settings of the remote control, reset the parameters as follows:

1. We activate the firmware mode on the control panel again using the TV and OK key combination.

2. In the called menu, we print a key of three digits 977. This command should cause the light under the Power key to flash. It should light up 4 times.

3. After that, we set up the remote again, since all the settings have just been deleted.

Troubleshoot the remote control

There may be a problem with the remote control from the TV set-top box - the same key or even several buttons can give a signal to both the set-top box and the TV, that is, when you press them, two devices start working at once. This happens when the keys of two devices are the same. How to be in such a situation? The problem is solved by changing the code. Follow the instructions:

1. Press and hold two keys - Power (center button in the first row from the top) and OK. Do not release your fingers from the buttons until the LED under the TV key blinks twice.

2. Now write one of the following standard keys yourself: 3224, 3223, 3222, 3221, 3220.
3. After installing the new, already generic code, see if the issue was resolved by checking the problematic keys. If the first code did not work, start entering all the others in turn until the situation is resolved.

If you use Rostelecom's TV services, you do not need to work with two remote controls at once - a television and a set-top box. The latter device immediately replaces the TV remote control, if configured correctly. This can be done by starting the automatic selection of the key (it is different for each TV model), as well as by manually entering the code that corresponds to your TV device. If the remote suddenly stops working, try resetting all settings to factory defaults. If the remote control starts giving a signal to the TV and the set-top box at the same time, then there is a conflict of codes - put the standard key.
