The mother-in-law suggested that we should wrap the grater in a plastic bag. I always do this now

The other day I felt like “fallen from the moon”, and in my own house, in my own kitchen. My son had a birthday and my husband's parents came to congratulate him. I set the table, chop salads, bake chicken with garlic, and I really don't have time. My beloved mother-in-law, who, by the way, cooks very tasty, volunteered to help me.

I was very happy with this help and fused her the most unpleasant part of the job (at least for me) - chop the onion and finely chop the garlic, since I don't have a crush for it. In my heart I was afraid that she would strenuously resist, but she smiled slyly and asked me for a plastic bag.

It turns out that there is such a life hack that many advanced housewives have been using for a long time, and she shared it with me. They say in truth that all ingenious is simple! With the help of a sachet stretched on a grater, you can finely grate the garlic without having the garlic crush on hand and keep your festive manicure safe and sound.

I was amazed at the simplicity and convenience of this method. How I myself had not thought of this before! Before you start grating the garlic, you need to peel it. This is easy to do, without unnecessary contact with the odorous product:

  1. Cut off the hard ends at the cloves and place them in a resealable container. After a vigorous shake for a minute, all the husks will remain in the dish.
  2. We take a clean bag, take out a grater and prepare the garlic.
  3. Pull the bag onto a grater from above and press firmly.
  4. We find the side with small holes and gently rub the required amount, one clove at a time.
  5. We remove the bag from the grater and just throw it away. The entire mass, without loss, will remain on the polyethylene, and the grater will be almost clean.
  6. Let's rinse it under running water and that's it.

Using this simple method, the mother-in-law quickly grated not only a large amount of garlic, but also an apple. I needed it for the salad. When you rub an apple on a metal grater, it darkens faster and loses its beneficial properties, and thus retains more vitamins.

Thanks to mom for the science. She helped me prepare a delicious treat and taught me to mind. Now, when I see her, I ask her what else interesting and useful she has learned.
