I was alone for a very long time, because I lived according to the principle that it is better to be alone than with just anyone. But for this it is necessary that a person should correspond to so many parameters that it is not even clear where, how and with what to start the search.

Once I was visiting my grandmother. And my grandmother is a woman of the old school, at eighty her head is as clear as at twenty, and she always succeeds, thanks to prudence and worldly wisdom. In general, our grandmother is an authority. I began to complain about my female fate and sigh hard. That, they say, everything, probably will never meet my betrothed.

It is necessary, in the very near future, to go to the store and buy men's slippers, but not just any, but precisely those that would suit the man of my dreams. If you want a calm stay-at-home, you need to buy soft and warm, in light colors. If I want a businessman, then the most expensive leather ones. If I feel sorry for the money and buy the cheapest, the first ones, then the man will be like that: lazy, poorly earning, not serious.

Then you need to put them next to mine and wait patiently, and most importantly, do not allow anyone to put them on, not offer them to any guests. “You will see, granddaughter, the owner of the slippers will appear at the right hour,” my grandmother assured me.

Half skeptical, half wanting to please my beloved grandmother, I nevertheless went and bought slippers, the most beautiful, expensive and comfortable in appearance, and put them next to mine. And willy-nilly, I endlessly thought about it, looked at them and introduced their owner.

Less than a month later, I met a man who I immediately liked. And I got such a feeling that I have known him for a long time, and that we understand each other perfectly. Everything developed very rapidly, and six months later he proposed to me.

Whether the slippers helped me, or my subconscious mind, which at that moment tuned in to meet the man of my dreams, or is it all an accident, you decide. And I offered my grandmother to be one of the bridesmaids!
