Cutting paper requires concentration, neatness, attention, and patience. Therefore, it is recommended to start with simpler drawings: with fewer lines and small details.

The easiest type of vytynanka is an Easter egg. If the pattern is symmetrical, the paper can be folded in half and cut out with scissors.

How to make an Easter egg vytynanka:

1. Print an unmarked egg template on white paper.

Over a thousand-year history, the paper cutting technique has acquired its own rules. We will present the main ones, as well as useful tips.

• If the drawing does not have small details, you can cut the vytynanka with scissors, first carefully making a hole in the middle of the section, and then approaching the marking line along the contour. But it is more convenient to use a clerical or breadboard knife for cutting. The latter tool achieves greater precision and is ideal for cutting small areas and corners.

• Be sure to place the sheet of paper for cutting on a substrate: a plastic board, a sheet of plywood or cardboard. This way you will not scratch the table while working.

• If this is your first time cutting, before you grab the patterned template, practice simply cutting the paper to figure out how hard to press down on the blade to make the cut "clean". Draw a few straight lines by hand, a rectangle, an asterisk (for cutting corners), a circle (movement of the blade along an arc), a heart (change in the curvature of the arc). And try cutting out these shapes.

• The finished vytynanka can be glued to a sheet of paper in a contrasting color. With a large number of openwork areas, apply glue only around the perimeter or in the corners so as not to damage the protruding hole.
• If desired, the vytynanka can be decorated with additional decorative elements, for example, ribbons, bows, butterflies, flowers. Selected areas can be coated from the outside with decorative glitter glue. It is also allowed to decorate the vytynanka with beads, rhinestones or sequins.

Volumetric vytynanka

Almost any volumetric protrusion can be made from 2-4 identical parts. For example, to make a 3D Easter egg you need:

1. Make a template by repeating the plot of the Easter painting 4 times. Add glue allowances.
