Home-style roast pork with potatoes: two cooking options

Each housewife's cookbook should contain several recipes for potato and meat dishes. And it is desirable such that you can feed the whole family to their fill without spending too much time and effort. We suggest you cook roast pork and potatoes at home - quite simple, but very tasty and satisfying.

The classic homemade roast recipe

Try to use more food: Roast potatoes and pork are a great excuse to bring family and friends together on the weekend. You will need:

  • 500 g of pork;
  • 1 kg of potatoes;
  • 1-2 large onions;
  • 2-3 fresh tomatoes;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • 3 tbsp. l. vegetable oil;
  • salt, pepper, bay leaf - to taste.

By the way, try replacing fresh tomatoes with pickled tomatoes in your own juice: it seems to me that the taste becomes richer this way. You can use 1 tablespoon of tomato paste instead. Or add 1-2 teaspoons of adjika (garlic is not needed in this case - it will turn out too hot).

  1. Peel and wash the onion, finely chop into half rings. Place it in a preheated pan with vegetable oil and fry for 2-3 minutes, stirring all the time, over medium heat.

  4. Peel the potatoes and cut them into medium-sized pieces, fold into a cauldron. Add meat with onions and tomatoes. Pour boiling water over so that it does not completely cover the food. Put it on the stove, and when the water boils, salt and pepper, stir.
