Sweet cookie sausage - taste like childhood
Remember how popular homemade sausage made from cookies, butter and chocolate was in our childhood? Our mothers cooked it in large quantities, put it in the refrigerator, and the family was provided with a delicious dessert for a long time. Now we can buy any sweets in the store, and in those days, most often only such a dessert was available to us. If you want to remember the taste of childhood, let's cook a chocolate cookie sausage together.
Chocolate cookie sausage recipe
For a sweet dessert from childhood you will need:
- 100 g butter;
- 4 tbsp. l. cocoa powder;
- 200 g chopped walnuts;
- 1/3 can of condensed milk;
-
200 g cookies.
Prepare biscuits, cocoa, butter and condensed milk
You will also need a cling film to form the sausage.
-
Break the cookies into small pieces, place in a blender bowl and grind into crumbs.

-
Now add cocoa and stir again.
Pour in cocoa and mix thoroughly
-
Add walnuts to the mass. Before that, dry them in the oven and crush them as fine as possible.
Add crushed nuts to the mass
-
Start gradually pouring in condensed milk, rubbing the mass with a spoon all the time.
Pour in the condensed milk
-
Spread out the cling film, put the resulting mass on it and roll in the form of a sausage, twisting around the edges for tightness. Refrigerate dessert for a few hours.

I heard from friends that it is enough to hold such a sausage in the refrigerator for literally 2-3 hours for it to freeze properly. It didn't work out for me: the dessert was too soft and crawled in my hands. So I either put the sausage right next to the freezer overnight or inside the freezer for 5 hours.
By the way, you can significantly change the taste of the sausage. It depends on the type of cookies, and there are a lot of them now, choose according to your taste. You can also use any nuts (but be careful with peanuts, they are a strong allergen), candied fruits, marmalade. Plus, you don't need to add cocoa if you don't want a chocolatey flavor.
You can “play” with the taste of sausages, excluding cocoa or adding different nuts, marmalade, candied fruits

The cookie sausage goes well with tea, coffee or cocoa. Your children will surely fall in love with it just as you once fell in love with it, and will become a welcome dish on your table. Bon Appetit!
