But usually most of the time is spent on preparation: selection of materials, drawing up a sketch, etc. Therefore, you need to deal with drawing up a bouquet not 10 minutes before the presentation of the gift, but somewhat earlier.

I made my first bouquets of toys for several days. The whole day was spent on sketching the bouquet and making a list of the necessary materials. I spent another day buying all these items. And only on the third day I made the composition itself. Now I can create a bouquet from available tools, and it takes no more than half an hour to assemble all the elements.

Materials that will be required when creating a bouquet

There are no strict rules of what to make a bouquet of. You can use almost any material at hand, including your creativity. Most often, the following items are required to create a bouquet:

• toys (soft, plastic, knitted, etc.) of any size (often no higher than 15 cm) and in any color;
• base for the bouquet (foam, cardboard, cone made of paper or very dense fabric; you can buy a special base in a flower shop);
• the future leg of the bouquet (a piece of PVC tube, a cardboard sleeve, a magazine rolled into a roll, etc.) of the required length (10-15 cm);
• means for fastening elements (glue gun, safety pins, floral wire, wooden skewers, etc.);
• material for draping the base (corrugated paper, organza, mesh or tulle, any bright fabric, floristic film, etc.);
• items for decorations (feathers, ribbons, sisal, rattan balls, small boxes, bows, etc.);
• small accessories (rhinestones, sequins, half-beads, etc.) - if desired;
• tools: screwdriver, pencil, stationery knife, ruler, etc.

A bouquet of toys is not necessarily a composition with only toys (you can include whatever you like in such a bouquet)

Step-by-step instructions for beginners

Here is a diagram of making a simple bouquet of toys:

1. Preparation of the base. If you haven't found a suitable foam cone, you can cut it yourself. The flat side of the cone should be up to 25 cm in diameter. You can also make the cone out of cardboard.

2. Attach the handle to the base. If the handle is made of a cardboard tube, then one of its sides can be cut with scissors and glued to the base with glue ("Moment", thermal gun, etc.). PVC tube handles can be directly glued to the narrow side of the cone.

   

   A convenient form of the base can be given using a clerical knife, it can also be used to make a shallow (2-3 cm) hole into which you need to insert a handle)

3. Wrap the cone with corrugated paper or decorative cloth. The first layer of wrapping can be used to drape the wide base of the cone so that the foam is not visible. The rest of the layers (2 or 3) can wrap the entire workpiece, including the leg. The edges of the paper or fabric can be trimmed with curly scissors.

   

   The top layer of the wrapping material can be tucked in or left outside (the more top layers, the more voluminous the bouquet will turn out)

4. Prepare toys. The most convenient way is to string the bottom of the toy onto a piece of copper wire (about 20 cm), and then bend it so that 2 parallel ends of the wire stick out from the toy. They need to be inserted into the foam. Can be fixed with glue. It is also convenient to use skewers - they can be glued directly to the bottom of the toy, and then thrust into the foam.

5. Add decorative elements to the composition. First, fill in the voids next to the toys (candies in corrugated paper, rattan balls, artificial flowers, bows, etc.). Last but not least, add rhinestones, half beads and other decorative trifles.

   

   Anything that attaches to cabinets / toothpicks (corrugated paper flowers, satin ribbon bows, toppers, jewelry, etc.) can be used to fill the voids between toys.

6. Tie the handle with a satin ribbon or bow. The bouquet is ready.

   

   The handle of the bouquet should be tied last, since after tying it will be inconvenient to make changes without crushing the whole composition
