How to make a bouquet of sweets

It is not difficult to make a bouquet of sweets on your own. The easiest option can be made in 5 minutes. You just need:

1. Fix the candies on sticks like Chupa Chups. For fastening, you can use scotch tape, threads, glue (for example, "Moment" or superglue), as well as their combination. You can quickly and conveniently glue the stick to the candy wrapper with a glue gun.

A rose is the most beautiful, but also the most difficult flower to complete. Having learned how to make it, you can create any other candy flowers yourself.

For work you will need:

• corrugated or crepe paper of different colors: green (for stems and leaves), white, pink, yellow or red (for buds);
• kebab skewers (sold in grocery stores and supermarkets). There are different lengths: from 15 to 40 cm. The size should be chosen depending on how high the flower you want to get. Thick wire can also be used. Toothpicks work well for small flowers.
• it is better to choose a round shape, flower buds will look more natural;
• scissors;
• double sided tape;
• ordinary bobbin threads, it is advisable to choose a tone that matches the color of the paper;
• glue (PVA or glue stick).

First of all, collect everything you need to work

Procedure:

1. For one corrugated paper bud, cut 3 pink rectangles (rose petals) and one green (sepals) 4–5 cm wide and 6–7 cm high, depending on the size of the candy (the width of the rectangle should completely wrap the candy). It is important to take into account that the width of the petal should be laid on the side of the paper that stretches a little. This will give the flower the correct shape.
2. And also cut a green strip for the stem 4x20 cm (it should stretch in length).
3. Round off the top of each rectangle by analogy with a rose petal. It is convenient to fold the rectangle in half without squeezing the fold, and cut the corner in an arc with scissors.

4. Form petals with our fingers, slightly stretching the paper in the middle and giving it a bulge.

   

   The finished petal should be rounded and slightly convex

5. Wrap the top of the skewer with tape and attach the free edge of the candy wrapper to it.

6. For stability, we fix the candy on a skewer with threads. It is enough to make 5–6 overlap turns. No need to tie knots.
7. Tuck the second free edge of the wrapper (ideally, it should be tightly pressed against the candy). And we wrap the candy in the first petal.

8. We again fix the lower part of the petal on the skewer with threads. We twist the upper part with our fingers so that the paper does not diverge to the sides and the candy is not visible.

9. We apply the second and third petals to the bud from diametrically opposite sides. We fix them with threads.

10. Stretch the upper edges of the last two petals a little. They will be slightly wavy. And we turn it out (it is convenient to wind it on a free skewer).

11. We cut out sepals from the green blank, not reaching the edge of the rectangle by 1.5 cm.

12. We also stretch the sepal blank slightly. And, by analogy with real flowers, we twist the edges with rotational movements.

13. We wrap the bud with sepals and fix the position with a thread. So that the sepals do not overlap each other, it is important that the edges of the workpiece come into contact with butt and not overlap.

14. We spread a narrow green strip with glue and wrap the skewer in a spiral from top to bottom. We pay special attention to the upper condensed part near the bud. Here it is important to fix the paper well so that it does not slip. You can make several turns of the paper to add strength. Having reached the bottom of the skewer, cut off the rest of the tape. The rosebud is ready.
