Delicate salad "Bride": a classic recipe for your favorite dish
Today we'll talk about the wonderful Bride salad. The name of the dish is explained by the fact that the top layer of the dish is laid out with boiled egg white or cheese grated on a grater. The tiny curls of the products resemble a bridal gown and give the salad a very tasty and festive look.
A step-by-step recipe for the classic Bride salad
Once I happened to be a guest at a wedding which was celebrated by my husband's relatives. The guy and the girl were in their third year at one of the state universities and lived on a scholarship, so the festive table was not bursting with abundance. But I really liked and remembered one dish. I still remember this noisy evening, fun entertainment and the amazing taste of the "Bride" salad. For many years after the wedding, I tried different versions of the dish, but I like the classic version the most.
Ingredients:
- 1 smoked chicken breast;
- 2 processed cheese;
- 2 boiled potatoes;
- 4 boiled eggs;
- 1 head of onion;
- 2 tsp granulated sugar;
- 1 tbsp. l. 6% vinegar;
- mayonnaise for dressing;
- greens for decoration - optional.
Cooking steps:
- Cut the onion into quarters or finely dice.

Transfer the onion to a small container, add sugar, vinegar and boiling water so that the liquid slightly covers the vegetable. Leave the onions to marinate for 10-15 minutes. The vegetable will be crispy, juicy and pleasantly sour.
Marinade will remove the onion bitterness and accentuate the spicy taste of the vegetable

Cut the smoked breast into pieces of any shape, put on a dish.
The chicken can be sliced however you like, but the pieces shouldn't be too large.

Brush the meat with mayonnaise.
Adjust the amount of mayonnaise to your liking

Place the onion on a sieve. When the marinade has drained, place the vegetable on top of the chicken and mayonnaise.
Use a strainer or colander to remove any leftover marinade before adding the onion to the salad.
- Grate the potatoes on a coarse grater directly over the dish. Spread the ingredient evenly over the entire area of the workpiece and brush liberally with mayonnaise.
