Delicious yogurt mannik: we prepare an airy and fluffy pie for the whole family
Each housewife has several favorite baking recipes, including for every day. These desserts include manna - a pie that is very easy to prepare from available products. If you cook it on kefir, it turns out to be especially airy, light and crumbly.
The classic recipe for air manna from the oven
Try the simplest and most common method of making manna, familiar to our grandmothers. You will need:
- 1 glass of kefir;
- 3 eggs;
- 1 cup semolina
- 1 cup of sugar;
- 5 tbsp. l. flour;
- 1 tsp soda;
- 1 tsp vanillin.
The amount of vanillin can be reduced: for me personally, a whole teaspoon is a lot, the aroma is too intrusive. I usually add a pinch of vanilla and sometimes the same amount of cinnamon.
Try to cook a classic manna on kefir, it's very simple
-
Pour kefir into a blender bowl or deep bowl (if you use a mixer) and add eggs to it. Beat until smooth.
Beat eggs with kefir in a blender
-
Pour semolina into the mixture. Mix everything well with a spoon or fork and set aside for about 40 minutes until the semolina swells.
Mix semolina with eggs and kefir and leave to swell
-
Now gradually, in portions or in a thin stream, add sugar and flour to the dough, stirring constantly. Vanillin and soda are added last. At the same time, you do not need to extinguish the soda - it will react with kefir.
Add the rest of the ingredients and knead the dough
-
At this point, the oven should be preheated to 200 ° C. Pour the dough into a mold, previously greased with a little butter, and place in the oven for 35–40 minutes.
The finished manna has a ruddy golden crust
-
Take out the finished manna, put it on the table so that it cools down a little, and then transfer it to a dish. Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar on top.

Lush manna on kefir without flour
Semolina can be used as a substitute for flour in many dishes. Well, in a manna, all the more, you can do without flour, you just need to follow some rules.
Mannik on kefir can be prepared without flour
You will need:
- 1 cup semolina
- 1 glass of kefir 3.2%;
- 2 eggs;
- 1 cup of sugar;
- 40 g butter + 5 g for greasing the mold;
- 0.5 tsp soda;
-
vanillin to taste.
Prepare semolina, kefir, eggs, butter, baking soda and vanillin
This amount of dough is calculated for a mold measuring 21 X 21 X 5 cm (length / width / height, respectively).
By the way, you can make this manna dietary. If for some reason you are against butter, I recommend replacing it with two eggs. That is, 4 eggs will go into the dough. Believe me, this will not change the quality and taste of the finished cake. And try to replace kefir with fermented baked milk - it turns out very interesting! And, of course, in the absence of kefir, you can use yogurt.
-
Pour semolina into a bowl of suitable depth and fill with kefir. You need to mix everything and leave for half an hour so that the grains swell.
Leave the semolina in kefir to swell
-
Combine sugar and eggs in a separate bowl, beat with a whisk or fork, but not with a mixer.
Whisk eggs and sugar
-
Melt the butter in a separate bowl, pour it over the eggs with sugar. Please note that the butter should melt, but not boil, so heat over medium heat, or better in a water bath. Stir constantly, salt, add vanillin and quicklime soda.
The butter must be melted before adding
-
Now mix the egg-sugar and manna-kefir mass until smooth. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
Knead the dough out of all prepared foods
-
Grease a mold with butter and spread the dough over it. Send to the oven for 20-30 minutes, depending on how ruddy the crust on the manna should be in your opinion.
Let the finished manna cool slightly
- Remove the cake from the oven. After it has cooled slightly, transfer it to a dish out of the mold.
When the manna is completely cool, you can immediately cut it into portioned pieces or decorate as you like. We suggest you make a mini-cake from manna: it's very simple, and the cake turns out to be even tastier and more tender. For example, mix 200 g sour cream and 0.5 cups of sugar. Cut the pie across into 2 cakes and spread with this cream.
Try to make a cake out of manna, greased with cream - it will be very tasty!
Try soaking the bottom cake with some syrup if you like. And instead of sour cream with sugar, you can try any of your favorite cream, or, for example, condensed milk whipped with butter. So you can cook manna even daily, and every time it will be different.

Loose manna in a slow cooker
If your kitchen has such a wonderful assistant as a multicooker, be sure to use it to bake a manna. The algorithm of actions is the same as in the previous cases. After kneading the dough, pour it into the previously oiled bowl of the machine. Set the Baking mode and the time to 50 minutes.
The optimal baking time for manna in a multicooker is 50 minutes
Unlike baking in the oven, a manna from a multicooker can have a top without a golden brown crust. But all the same, the cake will be just as tasty and airy.
