Cooking salad "Prince": a selection of delicious recipes
By its original taste, the Prince salad can successfully overshadow the usual cold snacks. And thanks to the meat component, the dish can be served not only on the festive table, but also as a cold dinner. Walnuts are an indispensable ingredient in the salad, which add spice and an unusual taste.
"Prince" salad with beef
This snack dish with boiled meat and walnuts has excellent taste and appetizing appearance. Making such a salad is easy, even a beginner in cooking can handle it. The main thing is to choose a good piece of beef that will remain tender after boiling.
The shoulder of the beef carcass is one of the healthiest and most delicious meat products
Products:
- 500 g beef shoulder;
- 3 pickled cucumbers;
- 3 eggs;
- 150 g of cheese;
- 100 g of walnuts;
- 50 g dill;
- 250 g mayonnaise;
- 2 cloves of garlic;
- 1/2 tsp salt.
Recipe:

Boil the beef, adding salt.

Condemn and disassemble meat into fibers.

Grate cucumbers.

"Prince" salad with chicken
Chicken salad with the addition of nuts has an unusual, but very pleasant taste. And so that there are fewer calories in it, a mixture of mayonnaise and natural yogurt will be the impregnation sauce.
Natural yoghurt is more dietary than butter sauce and makes the salad more tender
Products:
- 2 chicken breast fillets (and for broth 1 carrot, 50 g of celery root, 5-6 allspice peas, 1 bay leaf, 1/2 tsp salt);
- 2 boiled carrots;
- 2 pickled cucumbers;
- 3 boiled eggs;
- 100 g of walnuts;
- 100 g of natural yoghurt without additives;
- 100 g mayonnaise;
- dill for decoration.
Recipe:

Boil chicken breast fillet with peeled carrots, salt, bay leaves, peppercorns and pieces of celery root.
Chicken fillet with vegetables and spices becomes tender and aromatic during the cooking process

Cool and chop the boiled chicken.
Boiled chicken should not be left to cool in the broth, it is better to put it on a cutting board

Grate boiled carrots.
It is better to grate boiled carrots on a fine grater

Dice the eggs.
Take exclusively fresh chicken eggs for salad.

Grind the nuts in a blender.

The salad is collected in this way: a layer of chicken meat, then a layer of carrots, after cucumbers and eggs. Each layer, including the topmost one, must be smeared with mayonnaise and yogurt sauce. Sprinkle the salad on top with walnuts, chopped to a crumb state. Decorate with a whole nut and sprigs of fresh dill.

Puff salads are my weakness. They are easy to prepare and look like a sumptuous snack cake. Moreover, most of them require simple and affordable products. The Prince salad has taken root in my family thanks to its delicate, but very rich taste. The usual "Olivier" or "Herring under a fur coat" cannot be compared with this original dish. I usually make a version of the salad with boiled beef and homemade pickles. Sometimes I add chopped almonds, but the children and my husband prefer the traditional version - with walnuts.
All products in the presented recipes are quite affordable. If you prepare the ingredients in advance, the salad can be prepared in record 15 minutes.
