Like any gardening work in March, pruning fruit and berry plantations requires some knowledge and has its own secrets.

The order of tree pruning is as follows:

• prune old fruit trees first;
• after 1-2 weeks younger trees that do not bear fruit;
• the apple tree begins to bloom before everyone else, so it is cut off first;
• pears, plum and cherry trees can be pruned before flowering.

When cutting large branches, try to cut into a ring without leaving any stumps. This wound will heal faster and will have less impact on the trunk. Slices from branches more than one and a half centimeters in diameter with a knife and paint over with oil paint based on drying oil.

5. It is necessary to dig in the near-trunk areas along a radius, starting from the tree trunk, so as not to damage the root system. When processing bushes, it will be more convenient to use a garden pitchfork. Break up the lumps thoroughly and level the surface with a rake. When working, try to pick the roots of the weeds.

Planting new plants and care features

When the snow melts, and the ground is completely thawed and warmed up, you can start planting young trees. Plan the location of the holes in advance and prepare them so that the soil in them subsides to the desired level by the time of use.
