Not every modern person knows how to hold a sewing needle in his hands. But it sometimes happens to hook a thing and damage the material. Here are some easy ways to fix the problem and cover up any sharps or damage.

If the clothes are unlined

This method is suitable for a thin jacket or sweatpants, that is, for items without lining. You will need polyethylene, a small piece of patching cloth and the usual tools that every home has: an iron and scissors.

On the seamy side, you need to attach a neatly cut piece of polyethylene, and on the outside - a patch. The garment should be ironed through the fabric. Please note that the polyethylene will melt and may stain surrounding objects.

Universal way

For the next method, you will need a thermal sticker and a piece of very thin material such as gauze. The sticker must be applied to the damage with the face down. Place a cloth on top to prevent your clothes from being affected by the heat.

It is important to make sure that the drawing is level. There should be no folds on the table at this moment. The recommended iron temperature should be around +130 degrees. Be sure to turn off the steaming mode.

The iron should be applied to the thermal sticker and held for 15-20 seconds. After that, things must be allowed to cool and the protective paper must be removed. A T-shirt or shorts treated in this way can be machine washed and ironed.

If the fabric is thin

If the damage is very minor, you can use the following method. Cut two pieces out of the "cobweb" tape matching the tone. Lay them out on the hold from the outside and inside.

The fabric needs to be heated with an iron, while the glue will connect the threads. The temperature should match the material of which the shirt or tunic is made.

If the damage is large

If the hole is large in size, a patch must be applied. Find the right material, try on and cut a piece.

Gently apply sewing glue to the wrong side of the garment. Apply a patch and put a press on it. You need to wait for the glue to dry. The patch is quite firm and not too noticeable.

If the clothes are made of bolognese

Practical and popular, Bologna is not exposed to acids and alkalis, but you can still hook it.

Take the Moment glue and a piece of material that usually comes with the product. You will also need a little acetone to degrease the damaged surface.

Glue should be applied to the patch and applied from the inside out. After that, the clothes must be placed under the press until they are completely dry. Usually a thing after such a repair looks almost like new.
