Quite recently, I said that my father always grew pumpkins and, although not in significant quantities, dishes from it periodically appeared on our table. Amber baked vegetables with honey were one of my favorite desserts. We used vanilla sugar for the aroma and roasted walnuts for the rich taste. At that time, I did not know yet that many other sweets can be prepared from pumpkin. And a year ago I talked to a friend who loves a sunny vegetable. This girl shared with me a lot of delicious recipes, some of which have already been tried by me and accepted with delight by my household.

My husband loves this snack. The original recipe allows you to cook pumpkin in a very unusual way.
- 1 kg pumpkin;
- 2 tsp corn starch;
- 2 tsp garlic powder;
- 1 tsp ground paprika;
- 2 tsp olive oil;
- 1 bunch of parsley;
- coarse sea salt.
Cut the pumpkin peeled from the skin and seeds into long strips with a side of no more than 1 cm.
The straw should not be too thick, otherwise the pumpkin will not bake inside and remain firm
Transfer the straws to a bowl, cover with cold water and let sit for half an hour to absorb the liquid.
Soaking in water will keep the pumpkin from drying out when baked
- Place it on a dry kitchen towel and pat dry.
Place the chopped vegetable in a food bag and add the starch to it. Close the bag and shake well so that the starch covers all the straws evenly.
Thanks to the starch, the baked pumpkin will be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Sprinkle the pumpkin with garlic powder and paprika, pour over with olive oil, mix thoroughly.
Spicy food lovers can season the dish with red hot pepper.
- Place the straws on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Place the workpiece in an oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake for a third of an hour.
The finished pumpkin is covered with a delicious golden crust
- Chop fresh parsley with a knife.
Sprinkle the finished pumpkin fries with coarse sea salt and herbs.
It is advisable to eat pumpkin fries immediately after cooking
