Viburnum is not very popular when making homemade preparations. Perhaps the reason for this is its specific, slightly bitter taste. You can put the bunches in the freezer for a few minutes before use. So the berries will be much tastier and will be an excellent component for syrups, compotes and jam.

Any capacious enameled container is suitable for preparing the workpiece.

First, using a juicer, viburnum juice is obtained from the berries. It must be mixed with granulated sugar and put on the stove. After boiling, the juice is boiled for 5 minutes, regularly removing the foam. Then the stove is turned off and 10 g of citric acid is added to the syrup. While stirring, the liquid is heated again and boiled for 4 minutes. Through a strainer, the syrup is poured into clean jars and twisted.

Ingredients:

  • 1 liter of viburnum juice;
  • 2 kg of granulated sugar;

The apples are cut into small pieces, placed in a saucepan and covered with water. Two minutes should pass from the beginning of boiling, then the gas is turned off.

Viburnum is rubbed through a sieve so that no bones get in, add to apples, mix thoroughly. They fill up the sand, let it boil again. After that, the mass is poured into clean glass containers and twisted.

Ingredients:

  • 4 apples;
  • 4 branches of viburnum;

  • 400 g of viburnum;
  • 200 g of honey.

To make the vinegar from viburnum turn out to be spicy and strong, the berries are used together with a twig and do not even wash them. Viburnum is crushed with a blender and poured into a glass jar. Add water, granulated sugar and mix.

The jar is placed in a warm and dark place. The neck should be wrapped with a clean, thin cloth so that midges do not get caught. So the mass should stand for 7-14 days. From time to time it needs to be disturbed.

When a precipitate appears at the bottom, the liquid is drained and filtered. It must again be left in a warm and dark room, but this time the workpiece cannot be stirred.

After about 2 months, the vinegar acquires transparency and a specific aroma. It is filtered again, bottled and stored at room temperature.

Ingredients:

  • 1 liter of viburnum;
  • 1 liter of clean water;
  • 100 g granulated sugar.
