How to soak the seeds so that they sprout quickly and amicably

Many vegetables are grown in seedlings. This is due to the difficult climatic conditions of our country. Before sowing seeds, they should be soaked for a while. This promotes their swelling, accelerates germination and increases germination rates. We will tell you in what formulations you can hold seeds and how this will affect their further development.

In aloe juice

Many people have such a plant as aloe. It is useful to soak vegetable seeds in its juice before sowing. This naturally occurring nutritional blend provides them with the energy they need to grow. Reduces the time the plant needs to set and ripen fruits.

It is very simple to prepare the composition - cut a couple of leaves from the bush and squeeze them. Or buy this ingredient at a pharmacy. Then the juice is diluted with water in a one-to-one ratio. Use any dishes, except metal. Place the seeds between two pieces of cloth and dip in the solution. Leave it in a warm place overnight.

In a solution of wood ash

Ash is a versatile plant growing agent. It is often used at the summer cottage. It acts as a top dressing, providing planting with minerals, protects against the spread of infections and pests.

Wood ash also helps in germinating seeds. For one liter of water, take 2 tablespoons of dry matter. Stir well and let it brew for at least two days. Keep the seeds of any vegetable crop in the solution for 3-6 hours.

In mushroom broth

This is one of the popular recipes that never cease to be popular. You will need a small amount of dried mushrooms, which contain many trace elements. To prepare the broth, they are poured with boiling water. When the liquid has cooled, the seeds are immersed in it for 6 hours.

This mixture helps to awaken biological processes, accelerates development and growth. Soaking properly will save you frustration during fruiting and harvesting.

In water

If there is no desire or opportunity to use any additional substances, you can do without them. Hot water will help to awaken even the laziest seeds. It relieves them of excess oils in the shell, which interfere with swelling. Do not take boiling water, heat only up to 50 degrees. Twenty minutes should be enough, then remove the seeds, rinse and dry.

Cold water is no less effective, as well as keeping it in the refrigerator for some time. Such stratification is not done quickly, but implies a period of 5-6 weeks. The seed is placed in a hydrogel or humus and removed to the bottom shelf of the refrigerator, or in the cellar. At the same time, do not forget to periodically check the moisture level of the substrate, do not let it dry out.

In a solution of honey

Honey is not only good for people. This sweet treat activates the vitality of the seeds, making them less susceptible to changes in temperature and disease. The seedlings' immune system becomes stronger.

To make a suitable solution, stir a teaspoon of honey in a glass of water. The recommended time for soaking the seeds is 24 hours.

In potato juice

Everybody has raw potatoes at home. However, not all summer residents know that this vegetable is useful for future seedlings, since it is rich in nutrients.

Take a couple of potatoes and place them in the freezer. After freezing, remove and thaw at room temperature. When the tubers are soft, squeeze the juice out of them, in which place the seeds for 6 hours.

In soda solution

This solution allows you to disinfect seeds, preventing diseases of future seedlings. Soda has antiseptic properties, though not very strong. It can replace potassium permanganate, which is traditionally used to kill possible bacteria and fungal spores on the seed.

To prepare the solution, dilute 5 g of soda in a liter of water. The duration of soaking depends on the type of plant and ranges from 12 to 24 hours.

In vodka

Experienced summer residents are used to using everything that is at hand for their own purposes. Many people soak their seeds in a solution of alcohol or vodka. Leave them like this for 20 minutes and then rinse well.

Such preparation will ensure faster emergence of seedlings. It helps even the expired seed, "revitalizing" it.

In a growth promoter

It is easiest to use ready-made growth promoters for processing seed. These drugs work effectively, activate seed germination and make plants more resistant to adverse environmental conditions.

Buy drugs such as Epin Extra, Novosil or Zircon. They are sold at any specialty gardening store. Most often, they are artificially created analogues of plant hormones. You can replace them with such a budget pharmaceutical agent such as succinic acid, for example.
