The necessary furniture for a summer residence is easy to make with your own hands. The material will be ordinary wooden pallets, which can be found near local shops and construction sites.

Bench

To make a bench for a recreation area, take two wooden pallets. One of them will become a seat and the other will become a backrest. Pallets are fastened together with metal corners, and the legs are made of durable wooden blocks.

The bench is sometimes in the pouring rain, so the wood is treated with special compounds such as wood stain, oil paint or varnishes. For an even coating, they are applied to a layer of primer.

Thanks to the high backrest, the pallet bench is comfortable for the elderly. And it will not be difficult to transfer furniture to different parts of the garden due to its low weight.

Sun lounger

It is not difficult to make a deck chair from wooden pallets. Pallets are disassembled into boards, thoroughly washed, dried, and then sanded and coated with a primer. The nails from which they are hammered are changed to stronger metal screws.

The base is made of three parts. Two are placed horizontally, and the third is raised 45 degrees. It is better to build them from solid wooden blocks. The legs of the seat must be strong enough to support the weight of any occupant.

Finished furniture is treated with oil or glue paint. When painting, several tones are used, harmoniously combined with each other.

A more complex design is a chaise longue with a variable angle of inclination of the backrest and wheels for ease of movement.

Side table

A small table made of wooden pallets will find use in a summer kitchen, as well as in a gazebo or in a tea drinking area. It is convenient to put books, magazines on it, leave knitting.

Legs are attached to the pallet cleaned and sanded with screws, and glass, plank or plywood are placed on top. You can paste over the lid with a multi-colored film.

An interesting option - the tabletop is located on one wide support, the crossbars of which serve as a footrest for the sitting people.

Armchair

In addition to a table of three wooden pallets, it is easy to make a comfortable country chair. Washed and sanded boxes are fastened together so that there is an even part of them above and below.

For these purposes, special fasteners are used, with which the base will become stronger. Lacquer or paint is applied to the sides.

Boards or thick plywood are laid on top, on it - a volumetric layer of foam rubber. The structure is covered with a suitable waterproof fabric, because the chair will be used outdoors. The back is attached to the base and fitted.

Experts recommend choosing light pastel shades when making such furniture.

The footwear stand

The optimal dimensions of the shoe cabinet are: height 50-80 cm, width 40 cm and length 90 cm. With these parameters, it will fit into any interior. They put it right on the porch or on the terrace, so as not to stain the floors in the country house.

Making a stand is easy if you have basic carpentry skills.

The pallets are dismantled into separate boards. After that, they are cleaned and treated with sandpaper. The base of the long slats is fixed with screws. The structure is sheathed from above, from behind and from the side. This prevents dust and sand from getting inside.

The curbstone should have 2-3 internal shelves so that it is convenient to place all the shoes on them. And if the stand is painted, it will take on a prettier look.
