Radish is a colorful root vegetable rich in vitamins and antioxidants that strengthen the body. There are many recipes using this vegetable raw, but few people know that it can be fried.

Why radishes are fried

After heat treatment, the radish becomes softer and sweeter, and the nutrients that make up it are better absorbed by the body. The use of herbs and spices enhances the flavor and adds originality.

Fried radish is suitable both for preparing various appetizers, and as an independent dish or side dish. There is only one drawback of this method - the product loses its rich red color after heat treatment.

Radish with green onions

For cooking you will need:

  • two bunches of radishes;
  • 70-100 grams of green onions;
  • two tbsp. l. vegetable oil;
  • salt and black pepper to taste.

The radishes are washed thoroughly, the tails are removed and dried with paper towels. Cut into quarters or halves depending on the size of the root vegetable. Transfer to a bowl, sprinkle with salt and pepper, mix and leave for 10-15 minutes.

Fry for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, so as not to burn. Add chopped green onions, stir, turn off the heat and leave to sweat a little under the lid.

Use garlic or other seasonings as desired. Serve as a side dish with meat, mushrooms or chicken.

Garlic and sesame salad

To make an appetizing snack, the following products are prepared:

  • a small bunch of radishes;
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic;
  • 20 grams of sesame seeds;
  • vegetable oil for frying;
  • a bunch of dill, parsley or onions;
  • salt and pepper to taste.

The radishes are washed, the roots are removed. Peel the garlic, finely chop it with a knife and fry it for about a minute in a preheated frying pan drizzled with oil.

When the main ingredient is being prepared, some of the greens are chopped and added along with the spices to the pan, under which the fire is turned off. Mix well and leave covered for 5 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle the dish with sesame seeds and the remaining herbs.

Hearty radish sandwich

A sandwich snack is perfect for a snack or a full meal. For cooking you will need:

  • 7-10 pieces of medium-sized radish;
  • several slices of white or black bread;
  • dill or green onions;
  • mayonnaise;
  • oil for frying.

The radishes cut into circles are fried in a pan for 8-10 minutes. Add herbs and spices as desired, turn off the heat and cover the dishes. Slices of bread are fried separately, each piece is greased with mayonnaise, and the main ingredients are distributed on top.
