From sock to light bulb: 5 simple objects that can be used to make a beautiful Christmas tree toy

An unnecessary light bulb

The very shape of this object already evokes associations with a penguin or a snowman. Depending on which option you choose, paint the light bulb with gouache or acrylic.

If you decide to make a snowman, the first step is to apply white over the entire surface. Then draw the eyes, carrot-nose, mouth. You can draw a scarf and buttons. Cover with sequins to show the shimmery of the snow.

Repeat the outline of the wings with white paint over black. Finally, don't forget to add a loop so you can hang the item on the tree.

Christmas cone

Paint the bud any color you like. We recommend using traditional holiday colors: white, red or green. The latter is very well suited for making a herringbone out of a cone.

You can then glue on a few pre-painted Styrofoam balls to make the bump look like a decorated Christmas tree. Attach the eyelet and your Christmas tree toy is ready.

Buttons

Take a woolen thread and several buttons of different diameters (preferably green). Tie a knot at one end of the thread and string the buttons from the widest to the narrowest.

When the resulting cone looks like a Christmas tree, make a loop from the remaining thread. You can also collect colored buttons into a festive wreath.

Sock

You can make a snowman from a white sock. Stuff it with croup and tie it with a thread in the middle and at the top (you can sew it up for greater strength).

You can also use glitter of different colors and diameters. It all depends on what you like best.

Plastic bottle

You can easily make a Christmas tree toy in the shape of a snowflake from a plastic bottle. Remove the label and carefully separate the bottom from the rest of the bottle.

Draw the outline of a snowflake on it with a felt-tip pen and cut it out. All that remains is to paint it white, add some glitter and make a hole for the loop.
