Purevax is a modified live vaccine containing specially attenuated viruses from five common feline diseases. The mechanism of the immune response of animals is similar to that of humans. The body remembers "aggressors" and develops specific protection, forming an artificial active immunity.

The drug is produced by the French corporation Merial SAS, which offers products for the treatment and prevention of animal diseases. The company conducts serious research, has a significant reputation in the market for manufacturers of veterinary drugs.

What diseases does Purevax prevent?

A number of feline ailments cause serious harm to health, give serious complications or threaten the pet with death:

• Calicivirus infection. Calicivirus is a viral disease that affects the respiratory tract, giving a complication to the musculoskeletal system in the form of lameness. There are forty strains of the virus. Veterinarians record up to 30% of deaths.

The vaccine is a dried mixture of cultures, diluted with water for injection. The drug is supplied in one dose. Ten vials are packaged in a box, each containing a detailed annotation. Stored for 18 months.

Immunization is indicated for healthy, helminth-free cats. Not subject to vaccination:

Interaction with other drugs

Purevax is not used concomitantly with other vaccines. Can only be mixed with Merial SAS Biologicals against Rabies and Viral Leukemia. Separate administration is always required.
