Cooking Easter cakes without an oven: a selection of simple recipes
As on the eve of New Year's holidays, the streets and houses are filled with the enchanting scent of fresh pine needles and tangerines, so on the week before Easter the air smells fragrant with the unique smell of pastries. In the kitchens of ordinary apartments and in the workshops of industrial bakeries, magic is happening day and night: from ordinary products, airy, tender cakes and Easter that melt in your mouth are born. Did you know that Easter treats can be prepared not only in the oven, but also in a slow cooker, a bread maker and even a microwave? Today I am going to show you how to do this.
Step-by-step recipes for Easter cakes without an oven
In my childhood, there were no bread makers, no multicooker, no microwave oven. And Easter cakes were baked only in the oven. Growing up, I did not think about the fact that baked goods can be prepared in other ways. One of my friends, who manages to do a million things in a day, surprised me a lot when she told me that she was baking an Easter treat in the microwave. Later, I began to notice that many of those around me also facilitate their work in preparation for a bright holiday by baking cakes with a bread machine and a multicooker. Indeed, it is very convenient.
In a multicooker
Prepare and mix the ingredients, put the dough into a bowl, choose the desired mode and be patient - that's all you need to make this recipe for the cake.
Ingredients:
- 800 g flour;
- 300 ml of milk;
- 11 g dry yeast;
- 180 g butter + for greasing the bowl;
- 1 egg + 4 egg yolks;
- 250 g granulated sugar;
- 100 g raisins;
- 100 g of a mixture of dried fruits and candied fruits;
- 1 tsp lemon zest;
- 1/2 tsp salt.
Preparation:
- Select the "Multi Cook" mode and set the temperature to 100 degrees.
-
Pour milk into a bowl and heat to 35-40 degrees.
Heat the milk
- In a small container, combine warm milk, dry yeast, salt and sugar. Leave the brew for 15 minutes.
- Transfer the butter to the multicooker bowl, melt and cool.
- Separate the white from the yolk. Place the protein in the refrigerator, you will need it later.
- Sift flour into a bowl, pour yeast mixture, melted butter and 4 egg yolks into it.
-
Stir the dough ingredients, then add the lemon zest, rinsed raisins, dried fruit and candied fruit mixture.
Add raisins, dried fruits and candied fruits to the dough
- Place the dough on a floured table and knead until the mixture stops sticking to your hands.
- Form the dough into a ball, place in a large bowl, cover with cling film and place in a warm place for 50-60 minutes.
- After an hour, knead the risen dough.
-
Grease the multicooker bowl with butter and place the dough in it. The butter mass should occupy no more than 2/3 of the container volume.
Transfer the dough to an oiled multicooker bowl
- Cover the dough with plastic foil again and leave for another 2 hours.
-
Whisk the protein with 1 tbsp. l. cold water, place on the dough and spread over the entire surface.
Lubricate the workpiece with whipped protein with a little water
- Cook the cake in the "Multi Cook" mode for 45-50 minutes at 120 degrees.
-
Gently remove the finished treat, transfer to a plate and decorate to your taste.
The treat can be served on the table in its original form or additionally decorated
