It's winter, it's cold outside, and the kids really want to have fun, make snowmen and play snowballs. Even if there is little snow outside the window, you can make your own at home for games and decorating the apartment.

Of salt and water

In a saucepan, boil 2 liters of water with 1 kg of salt over low heat. It turns out a strong saline solution in which you need to dip the spruce branches for 5-10 seconds.

After a few hours, you can take out the branches and hang them to dry. They will be covered with a graceful "snow" coating. You can make this snow colored by adding a few drops of dye to a saline solution.

Styrofoam

Packing can be broken and crumbled by hand, or you can grate it - this is a rather noisy activity. Branches of spruce, pine, or even just bare twigs, which are supposed to be decorated, are smeared with PVA glue, and then dipped in foam chips. The decoration is ready!

Be careful when playing with Styrofoam - it easily gets into your nose and ears.

Made from baking soda and shaving foam

A pack of 0.5 kg soda is mixed with a can of men's shaving foam. You need to adjust the amount of foam depending on your needs - the wetter the mass should be, the more foam you need to add.

From baby diapers

You will need clean baby diapers. From them you just need to take out the filler and mix it with water in any amount until the desired consistency is obtained.

This mass is very similar to real wet snow. It is important to be careful not to allow babies to swallow this mass.

From cornstarch

Potato starch or cornstarch works well and must be mixed with the shaving foam.

This mass is molded, you can form different figures or cover the roof of a cardboard house with snow.

From soap

Pre-freeze pieces of white solid soap, grate in a frozen state on a fine or medium grater.

You can add sparkles to the soap - it will shimmer in the light. It turns out pretty loose snow.

Cotton wool

For this method, you need to fluff up the caked cotton wool as much as possible, laying it out in the desired container. Cotton wool can also be used to decorate accessories - the pieces must be greased with office glue or PVA and glued to the right place.

Until the glue has dried, you can sprinkle it beautifully with sparkles - the snow will sparkle like real.
