Stylish shelves

Small, elongated suitcases will look great on the wall instead of shelves. If the outer upholstery is well preserved, they can be left as they were. Otherwise, just paint the chests, choosing colors that are in harmony with the interior.

Surprisingly, the most common thing on a suitcase shelf turns into a design composition. Put any souvenir, a flower in a flowerpot, a globe, a book, an alarm clock or something else there - the effect will pleasantly surprise you.

Pet bed

If you remove the top cover from the suitcase and put a pillow or specially sewn mattress in it, you will get a nice rookery for your pet.

If you attach legs to the bed below, and just open the lid, you get a real sofa. In this case, the upper part should be well secured so that it does not accidentally snap shut. The pocket of the chest can store your pet's toys.

Coffee table

You can make a wonderful coffee table from an ordinary suitcase. Drill holes for the legs in the bottom cover, and put a sheet of plywood inside. The legs cannot be screwed onto the soft material of the upholstery, so they need to be fixed to the plywood.

The inner surface can be draped to store some things inside the table. If the upholstery does not look very attractive, decorate it with pictures, stamps or stickers. Alternatively, you can attach wheels to the product, which will make it easy to roll the table, rather than drag it around.

A large suitcase will make a stylish armchair or mini-sofa, and a small one will make a couple of original poufs. First, along the perimeter of the chest, we make a rigid base for sitting. We construct the seat itself from a wooden board - we glue the foam rubber and wrap it with fabric.

We also glue foam rubber on the top lid of the suitcase and drape it - this will be the back of our chair. We put a sheet of plywood inside the chest, drill holes in the bottom, install the legs. Place the soft seat inside and get a luxurious retro chair!

Wall cabinet

The original wall cabinet is obtained from a suitcase attached to the wall behind the back wall. For convenience and functionality, you need to make several shelves and partitions in it. More advanced craftsmen can build not just shelves, but drawers. The front wall of a suitcase cabinet can be decorated with decoupage or equipped with a mirror.
