Step-by-step recipe for a classic salad with chicken and pineapple
Being a big lover of multi-ingredient salads with mayonnaise, I never thought that fruits can be added to such dishes. And she always refused to even try such dishes. When in one of the bars I was offered a salad with crab sticks and tangerines, I flatly found myself and for a long time pondered how to mix such products with different tastes. At one of the friendly parties, I saw tartlets with a very appetizing filling and, without hesitation, grabbed a couple. The very first bite of the appetizer made me surprised, as the salad simply amazingly combined tender chicken meat, cheese and canned pineapples. On the first occasion, I prepared such a dish at home, supplementing the previously tried recipe with slightly fried walnuts.
Ingredients:
- 300 g canned pineapple;
- 300 g chicken fillet;
- 200 g of hard cheese;
- 2 eggs;
- 150 g mayonnaise;
- 100 g of walnut kernels;
- 2 pinches of salt;
- 1 sprig of fresh dill

To make a delicious salad, you need a few familiar and accessible ingredients.

Boil the chicken fillet in salted water, cut into cubes with a side of about 1 cm.
For neat cubes, cut the chicken fillet across the grain with a sharp knife.
- Throw the pineapples on a sieve, leave to drain the syrup.

Cut pineapples into cubes.
Canned pineapples will make the salad juicy and give it a special touch.

Cut the boiled eggs into cubes too.
Boiled eggs are easier to cut with a very sharp knife.

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
Absolutely any kind of hard cheese is suitable for making salad.

Put all food in a bowl.
To easily mix the food, choose large-volume dishes

Season the salad with mayonnaise, stir, let it brew in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes.
If the salad is dry, add more mayonnaise
- Lightly fry the nuts in a dry frying pan.
- Place the salad in a large salad bowl.

Sprinkle with walnuts and garnish with dill.
Dill can be replaced with any other fresh herbs to your taste
