Be that as it may, and the burning appetizer "Mother-in-law's language", along with the funny name, quickly went to the people and to this day remains one of the favorite dishes of Russians. Usually, for preservation, it is advised to take young zucchini with a thin skin, which can not even be peeled off due to its softness. With "Mother-in-law's tongue" the situation is somewhat different, here it is permissible to use more mature fruits with dense pulp. But by no means overripe, harsh and dry, so choose carefully.

You will need:

  • 3 kg of zucchini;
  • 3 kg of tomatoes;
  • 500 g bell pepper;
  • 1-2 pods of hot pepper;
  • 5-8 cloves of garlic;
  • 250 ml of vegetable oil;
  • 100 ml vinegar 9%;
  • 6-8 tsp Sahara;
  • 5-6 tsp salt.

  1. Wash tomatoes and bell peppers and cut into small slices. At the same time, remove the stalk and seeds from the pepper.

Ready-made "Mother-in-law's language" is stored for about a year in jars sealed with iron lids and for 2-3 months - under nylon lids. For about the same amount (2-3 months), the snack will remain fresh even if you cook it without vinegar.
