2. Farewell takes place at the cemetery. Saying hello is exactly the opposite action. A greeting, especially backed up by physical contact, can return the soul of the deceased to our world, prevent it from resting.
3. If a person threw earth on the grave, then he cannot touch another person. These are burial ashes, and it is very dangerous for a living person to contact him. Such a handshake brings death closer, puts an invisible mark.

Is there a logical explanation?

From the point of view of logic, a handshake may be inappropriate only at a funeral. People carry a coffin with the deceased, and also throw ashes into the grave, and touching unprotected skin is simply unhygienic. But at the commemoration, there are no dangers in the handshake.

Church opinion

Orthodoxy and Catholicism do not establish a strict prohibition, but at the same time they say that it is contrary to Christian ethics. And just saying hello, even without touching, is not recommended at the cemetery.
