How to turn tub plants into a bright and stylish accent on the site

Not only plants, but also spectacular garden tubs can serve as decoration of the site. Even an old nondescript flowerpot can be transformed with your own hands, with quite a bit of imagination and work. Using old scraps, ribbons, toys and jewelry, you can create an original design of compositions.

Container decoration

Drape an unsightly tub with a strong fabric: burlap, coarse linen, matting, a knitted cover made of thick threads. More elegant decorations are also suitable for a hanging planter or flowerpot. However, do not dress up your garden tubs too carefully - dust and wind will quickly spoil your efforts.

Alternatively, you can glue or upholster the container with decorative material. It is important that it does not get wet and that it cleans well. It can be dermantin, thick oilcloth, pieces of linoleum. The twine looks beautiful on pots: it is enough to glue the top and bottom of the container with glue, and then tightly wrap it with twine thread.

Soil masking

Mulching the soil, we not only decorate the pot, but also take care of the plants: we protect them from drying out, weeds, diseases, pests. Mulch should fulfill its main functions and look aesthetically pleasing. These can be small cones, wood chips, pieces of bark, large sawdust.

Purchase colored decorative mulches. Alternatively, the earth in the flowerpot will be beautifully disguised by sea pebbles, shells, colored glass polished by the sea, interesting aquarium soil.

To give originality to tub compositions, install small decorative sculptures in them - wire, wicker, ceramic. Small children's toys, for example, from the "kinder surprise", are also suitable. Figures of animals, insects, birds, fantastic characters are organically combined with flowers.

Homemade decorative items can be glued to a wooden skewer and inserted into the ground. These can be birds, hearts, butterflies, stars, miniature birdhouses, watering cans, flags. An effective decor will be a support for climbing plants: a multi-colored ladder, a twisted lattice or ring, an "eiffel tower" or other curly varieties.

Bright colors

Paint a nondescript tub in a bright color, paint or decorate. Ribbons, colorful fabrics, multi-colored large buttons, pieces of stained glass - all these decorations will add rich colors to tub compositions. If you're decorating your garden for a particular event, place garden lights next to the plants.

You can improve the festive design with decorative cereals, rowan bunches or other berries. If the plant is green, use artificial flowers and fruits, but in moderation.

Stylish jewelry

To decorate tub plants, use out-of-order jewelry: earrings, chains, pendants, beads, and more. Such "jewels" are attached to a flowerpot, laid together with mulch, inserted on sticks, suspended from a support, and sometimes from branches.
