When buying a neglected plot, the owners are faced with the question of how to improve the territory with minimal labor and material costs. Simple rules will help in this matter.

Inspection of the territory

Basic knowledge of gardening or expert advice will be useful. Often, a plot with plantings can be inherited from previous owners.

But not all plants should be preserved. Determine which ones are already obsolete and get rid of them.

For example, these can be:

  • roses that were reborn and became a rosehip;
  • wild fruit crops;
  • conifers that have withered and turned purple;
  • dried shrubs;
  • weeds.

Soil cleaning

Clearing the territory from weeds and unnecessary plants is one of the most important moments of putting things in order. Indeed, without these measures, the site will not be able to please with the cultural landscape.

There are several ways to get rid of:

  • mechanical;
  • chemical (use of herbicides);
  • mixed.

Any of the methods requires efforts, moreover, repeated efforts, but, unfortunately, you cannot do without it. But after processing, you can safely proceed to the next step of creating an ideal site.

Soil improvement

Before improving the soil, it is advisable to determine what composition it is and what nutrients are missing.

Such soil analysis is called agrochemical. They carry it out either independently or contact specialists. Thanks to the study, the presence, as well as the amount of basic elements and minerals, the degree of saturation with organic matter, and the like is determined.

After the results obtained, work begins with the soil, the missing components and fertilizers are introduced:

  • sand;
  • clay;
  • peat;
  • compost;
  • biological products;
  • organics and minerals.

Planning

Drawing up a plan for new plantings, the correct marking of the garden area is a pleasant moment, but it requires a careful approach. If a mistake is made, the rework will take a lot of time, effort, money.

Consider not only the location of new plants, but also replanting old ones, placing garden objects and laying paths.

In such a case, it is better not to rush, but to do it according to the principle: "Measure seven times, cut once."

Planting

Beautiful plants are always a priority. With them, the site is transformed, causing admiration and envy of neighbors. But at the same time, their location should by no means be chaotic and stupid.

Be sure to stick to your plan. If possible, landscape design is the right solution.

Also, when disembarking, you must adhere to the following principles:

  • choose the right plants by height and place of their location;
  • plant in groups depending on the requirements of the soil;
  • focus on the landing site, as there are light-loving and shade-tolerant crops;
  • take into account the duration of flowering and colors.

It is more correct to lay a site for a recreation area at the planning stage. Choose a sunny location that can be darkened.

The most comfortable will be the organization of such a zone away from neighbors. If it is problematic to highlight such a place, then you can use arches, pergolas, vines, which will hide your shelter from intrusive glances.

In the recreation area you can put:

  • gazebo;
  • brazier;
  • swing;
  • pool and stuff.

If the dacha involves year-round living, then equip a winter garden or a heated gazebo, where there will be an opportunity to relax in any season.
