Pollock can be used to make a delicious cold appetizer. To do this, the fish is either boiled or fried - it depends on personal preference. The boiled version is less greasy.

Ingredients:

  • pollock - 500 g;
  • carrots - 2 pcs.;
  • onions - 2 pcs.;
  • tomato paste - 1 tbsp l.;
  • vinegar (9%) - 1 tbsp. l.;

Gut the carcass: remove the entrails, remove the fins, cut into medium pieces, rinse. Place pollock in a saucepan, add water, salt, add bay leaf, cook for 10 minutes. Remove the finished fish from the broth and cool.

In the meantime, you can do the marinade: grate the carrots or cut into strips, and the onions in half rings. Fry until soft, add carrots and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring regularly. Add tomato paste, salt, mix, remove from heat after 1 minute and let cool vegetables.

Remove the bones from the pollock, divide the fillet with your hands into pieces, preferably larger. Put the marinade and fish in layers in a deep bowl. It is desirable to tamp each layer slightly. Cover the dishes with the dish with cling film and leave to marinate for 6-8 hours. The result is a juicy snack with a savory taste.
