Fortiflora against dysbiosis
In cats, even completely healthy cats, stool disorder can occur against the background of a violation of the ratio of types of intestinal microflora. The same problem, only more pronounced, can be expected after the end of the course of antibiotic therapy or when new foods are introduced into the diet. To solve the problem of "little blood" will help the food supplement Fortiflor.

participate in the neutralization of substances such as
- bacterial toxins;
- heavy metal salts;
- allergens;
- antibacterial drugs;

The mechanism of action of the agent Fortiflora
The action of the Fortiflora remedy is:
- colonization of the intestine with a beneficial strain of bacteria; bacteria are placed in microcapsules, which allows them to pass through the stomach and not be dissolved by the hydrochloric acid of gastric juice. The disintegration of microcapsules and the release of bacteria occurs only in the alkaline intestinal contents;
- improves the health of the digestive system due to the ingredients included in the composition;
- improves the state of the immune system.
Indications for use
Indications for use are:
- violation of the composition of the intestinal microflora and related disorders in the activity of the digestive system;
-
diarrhea caused by:
- stressful condition;
- making dietary changes;
- antibiotic therapy;
- in the treatment of various diseases of the digestive system as part of complex therapy;
- violation of the consistency of the stool in kittens.
How to use the Fortiflora remedy correctly
The tool is used very conveniently - the contents of the sachet are poured into the cat's food; the usual dose is 1 g (1 sachet packet) of the drug once a day. The taste and smell of the drug are liked by cats, and they willingly eat the food additive. It can be added to both dry and wet food. The dose of the drug does not change depending on the age, weight and size of the pet. The course of admission can be unlimited, usually they are guided by the appointment of a veterinarian.
Features of use in kittens and pregnant cats
Due to its safe composition, Fortiflora is used in both kittens and pregnant cats. Fortiflora is especially useful for bottle-fed kittens, since they do not receive the necessary bacterial flora from the mother-cat for colonizing the intestines and for its proper functioning.
Contraindications and side effects
A contraindication is the presence of hypersensitivity to one of the components of the food supplement. In the event of an allergic reaction, the drug is stopped and desensitizing drugs are given (Tavegil, Pipolfen).
Side effects from taking Fortiflora are not described.
Interaction with other medicinal products
The instructions do not describe significant drug-drug interactions that limit the intake of the dietary supplement Fortiflora. Considering that the main ingredient is a strain of probiotic bacteria, it will inevitably suffer during antibiotic therapy. Therefore, it is worth separating the oral intake of antibiotics from the giving of Fortiflora, and it also makes sense to continue taking it after the end of the course of antibiotic therapy to restore the composition of the intestinal microflora.
Storage conditions and shelf life of the drug Fortiflora
Fortiflora is stored in a place protected from:
- Sveta;
- high humidity;
- children and pets.
Storage is carried out within 3 years from the date of production indicated on the package, at a temperature not exceeding 25 0 C.

Reviews of cat owners and veterinarians
Fortiflora is a probiotic food supplement containing the Enterococcus faecium strain to normalize the composition of the intestinal microflora, the violation of which is caused by various factors, as well as for the prevention of such disorders. Fortiflora has a positive effect on the state of the digestive system and immunity, contains a number of nutrients, vitamins and trace elements. Owners, using Fortiflora in complex therapy, note its effectiveness. Veterinarians, at least some of them, are skeptical about the prescription of this dietary supplement due to the lack of evidence on the benefits of probiotics in cats. All components of Fortiflora are highly safe and approved for use in both pregnant cats and small kittens.
